Mandi and Shimla Tops the List of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Report

PM Narinder Modi’s dream project is to clean India and he started a mission Swachh Bharat. He started a national level mission. Indian government launched its report card of  Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for rural India. The reports reveal Mandi District (1st) and Shimla (3rd) begged top spot in the list of cleanest district of India in hill states.

Sindhudurg of Maharashtra state also stood first in plain states. It is a proud moment for the people of Dev bhumi as well as India. Mandi District gets 98.4 cleanliness score which is quite impressive. The people of the mountains set an example to the other state that if they decide to do achieve their goals they will get this.

The assessment is done by the Quality Council of India (QCI). Basically there were four parameter on which all this whole assessment was based

  1. Having safe and easy access to the toilets and well disposal. Safe toilet was the main factor in this assessment. Nearly 40% weightage was given.

  2. Household with no litter in their surroundings. 30% weightage was given to this factor.

  3. Public places with no litter around them. This factor weighted almost 10% in this assessment.

  4. Households with no still waste water around them(20%).

We should work on these basic things and help the Himachal Pradesh as the one of the cleanest state in India.
