There is a temperature hike all over the country due to drastic changes in weather conditions and hill stations are no exception. The state of Himachal Pradesh is facing seasonal changes now a day with expected rains shortly. Rainfall occurred at few places in the state and it is forecasted that rains and thundershowers are likely ere long.
Weather reports say that many areas have significant temperature drop making the rains evident in a short time. The capital of the state has a temperature drop to 28.3 degrees from 29.6 degree Celsius. Rains are likely to occur in the whole state till June 8.
The temperatures of different cities include Kalpa with 25.2 degree Celsius, 35.9 degree Celsius in Sundernagar, 33.8 degrees in Dharamshala in Kangra district and ULPA being the hottest with 40.6 degrees Celsius. Rains and thunderstorms will lower the temperature soon in the coming days.
Kalpa saw the minimum temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius and rains befell in most tourist destinations– Palampur, Dharamshala, Manali, Kasauli, Chamba, Shimla, Kurfi and Narkanda. The season has become pleasant for tourists to enjoy away from the scorching heat of plain areas.
Due to overnight rains, the temperature falls to 11.3 degree Celsius on Wednesday from 20.9 degrees on Tuesday in Shimla. Due to heavy rains and thunderstorms, trees uprooted and few vehicles got damaged in some areas but no casualty reported till now.
The rains will continue to shower in the next 24 hours as forecasted by the weather reports. This sudden season change is attributed to western disturbances over Jammu and Kashmir. Slow rain showers in coming days will make the weather exhilarant and hence this is the right time to visit these hills to revel in the beauty of nature.
